Whether to fish with a float or without a float depends on the type of fish you are targeting and the fishing conditions. Using a float can help keep your bait at a specific depth and make it easier to detect bites, especially when fishing for species like panfish or trout. However, fishing without a float can be more effective for certain species that are more likely to be spooked by the presence of a float, such as bass or carp. Ultimately, the decision to fish with or without a float should be based on the specific fishing situation and the preferences of the angler. **
